Sierra Pacific High has started to get more and more unsafe for the students and staff. More students are put in danger and should be kept away from any exposed area. The school needs to take more precautions or shut the school down. policy they are pushing with the covid . The rule simply isn’t safe, and with the covid rate continuing to go up, the school should make the right decision and go back to distance learning once again while this whole thing cools down.
The school has it to where if you have covid you can be back in five days. Yes , it is estimated that covid doesn’t last long, but in many cases it has been for longer and shorter. It is wrong and unsafe for a student to come back like that. They may not feel as bad anymore after two or three days, but that doesn’t mean you are fully recovered and that it is safe to return to school. That would only risk other students. However, if there was distance learning, students would be safe in the comfort of their homes away from anyone who is infected.
A reason distance learning should come back is because, when a student or teacher has had covid interacts with other staff or students, when they send that teacher or teacher home, they never send anyone who has come in contact with them either. That is illogical because that does nothing good for anyone, might as well let the teacher stay if they aren’t going to be sent home as well. On the other hand, if someone has covid during distance learning, they are still able to join the class call and learn, as well as the teachers, they would still be able to teach.
Distance learning has happened once before. It seems as if the school brought students back way too quickly. Most classes don’t make their students wipe down the desks anymore, or the supplies they give us.That is a safety hazard. It could be a serious issue if a student who was infected coughed all over the desk before they left home. The next student to sit there would have their hands all over the desks. Therefore, if distance learning came back, there would be no risk of spreading covid or infecting other students .
All in all, more students are put in danger and should be kept away from any exposed area. The school needs to take more precautions or shut the school down. policy they are pushing with the covid . The rule simply isn’t safe, and with the covid rate continuing to go up, the school should make the right decision and go back to distance learning once again while this whole thing cools down.
