Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the science of how machines can act, think and do exactly like what humans can do. With this many people are using AI for many things such as education, transportation, cyber security, etc. Though AI is good for many helpful things, there’s always the downside of using it. Ever since Artificial Intelligence came out, there have been many downsides along with negative thoughts of using it. Artificial Intelligence has a lack of creativity and empathy which means it can never fully feel exactlywhat a person is feeling nor be as creative as one, it can also cause a huge amount of unemployment and it can be used as a deadly weapon if it gets hacked. Artifical Intelligence is useful for many things, but there can be many downsides to using it.
Having a lack of creativity and empathy is one of the many downsides of using AI. For people who don’t know empathy, it’s the ability to understand and know how people are feeling. AI wouldn’t know nor understand how people feel. Its decision-making which is one of its upsides can also be its downside in these cases. If a person who’s been through much asks AI for its decision on something, it will respond with something that is too insensitive for the person, causing a more emotional impact on them than before.
Having a lack of creativity is a downside that it has. Not being able to have creativity is important in the artist area because that would mean it won’t be as artistic to come up with solutions. For those who chose it to try to make art, it won’t fully be that creative because it would be too generic and it won’t have the feeling of hard work, creativity, and passion in it.
With the help, it can be used for many different job techniques, but with the use of it, it can also mean that people will start losing their jobs and the employment rate will start to decrease fast if AI continues taking over people’s jobs. Throughout most of the years, AI has been used to replace people from their jobs because they think that it will do a better job than humans. If it continues, it will create more than millions of new jobs that people won’t have the skills to do. With no jobs, this can lead to people not getting money anymore and make people more homeless than before. It soon also came to a point where people who worked hard to get degrees wouldn’t matter anymore.
If AI is hacked, then it can have severe consequences around the world. AI is used for many things such as self-driving cars, health, machinery, and transportation. This can be affected badly if AI takes over. This can cause accidents that injure people and this can also increase the death rate exponentially.
AI is useful for many helpful reasons, but is it worth it to throw all of this just to make life easier? It can’t be as creative as a human nor can it can’t feel what a human is feeling or is going through. It can also cause job employment to decrease rapidly which will soon lead people homeless with no food. It can also be dangerous if it gets hacked or is used for an evil purpose. AI is great, but is it taking the risk to enjoy something awful and dangerous?
