Morgan Wallen’s ‘The Double Album’ is dangerously amazing.
Wallen’s album “Dangerous: The Double” came out on Jan. 8, 2021. In the album, there are 30 different songs, which contain an equal part in country rock, slower tempo ballads, and even some pop country. After doing some research, one of the best and most played songs in Wallen’s album is “Sand in My Boots”, followed by “More Than My Hometown”, and “Still Goin Down”.
If you are looking for a good mix of fun, loving, and heartbreak soundtracks, this album is definitely for you. In Wallen’s album he has songs from being a ‘rowdy redneck’ raising heck in the boondocks, to the downhome romantic dream. Wallen’s album is perfect for summertime fun, such as lake days and pool parties, as well as just hanging out in your room with friends or by yourself dancing around to every song. Some of the songs in the album may get a little boring if you are by yourself or in a pumped up mood, because of their slower tempo, but those songs are still amazing to listen to. Wallen’s album hit number 1 on the top country albums chart on the billboard in no time, but now, five months later, no longer sits atop, but it does hold the reigns for the 11th consecutive week at number one on the top country albums chart on the billboard.
Personally, I listen to Wallen’s music on my way to every softball game to help calm my nerves but also pump me up to be game day ready. When friends come over to swim and hang out at my place, whether they are a country music fan or not, Wallen’s songs have gotten all of them rocking out and singing along to his lyrics, as the speaker is blasting.
If you have ever gone riding down backroads, and just blasted music while rocking out with friends, Wallen’s album is definitely a must to add on to your playlist. In some of his songs he even talks about backroads almost like the place he is from. An example of this is the line “for some folks a back road gets old, but for me it just can’t”, most likely referring to the two-laned dirt roads he would always drive. Mount country folks could probably understand that line better than others, because a lot of them have to take the same old roads to get to other places, and sometimes those roads don’t contain many views of different things or people, where as in the city you see multiple buildings, people, sometimes parks, and many other views like that, plus there are usually more lanes, a highway, and different routes to get to your destination.
Wallen’s album isn’t just about any old fun time, love story, or heartbreak, his songs all tell a story, his story, through each song he tells a story about himself, his heartbreaks, his love stories, and trucks. Each song has played a different part in his life, but is similar to other people’s lives as well. Maybe his relatable problems and points of view is exactly why he hit number one on the billboard so quickly and his album is ranked number seven on iTunes as of today.
