The mascara “Firework” made by Maybelline is a huge hit right now. In stores like Walmart and Target, it is selling out like crazy. This mascara is very popular because it gives that instant lift to the lashes and has multiple shades of brown and black. Weirdly enough, the price ranges from where you buy it. In stores like Ulta, Sephora, or just a place with a makeup section, they would be $10-11.
This mascara is really good compared to other popular brands that say “we have the best mascaras out of every other brand” when really, their brand is just expensive and a waste of money to buy. This mascara has two versions of itself which is amazing because a lot of mascaras are just waterproof nowadays and are really hard to wash off at the end of the day for most people. For example; Loreal, Essence, and Charlotte Tilbury are some examples of brands that people give very mixed reviews on.
The applicator for this mascara has a bunch of small lines going up to separate the lashes perfectly and give you the least amount of clumps. A lot of other mascaras have big brushes and are super clumpy and messy, some even crumbling off your lashes. With Firework, you’ll never have to worry about it crumbling off or smudging under your eyes because of how fast it dries. It takes around two minutes to fully dry and then you can clean it up and fix it however you’d like.
The two versions of the Firework mascara aren’t much different from one another besides one huge detail. One is just a regular mascara with four different shades. The other version is a waterproof mascara with only the shade “Very Black”. Some people do wish the waterproof mascara had more of a shade range like the original mascara. Surprisingly, all of the different shades in the original one are different prices.
With the shades Blackest Black, Brownish Black, and Electro Black, they are all $11.98. The shade Electro Black is the cheapest one but only goes down by $00.14 and the price is $11.84. These prices are honestly really good for the economy we live in now.
People do think that it’s a bit weird that the price of it changes depending on where you buy it from. On the Maybelline website, it is listed for $15 which isn’t a huge jump from $12, but people would most likely rather just go in the store to get it for cheaper. This is a good price because of how expensive other mascaras are nowadays. Many mascaras are $20 which is a lot just for a mascara.
Let’s talk about the description of this mascara. Firework is a volumizing mascara and it works wonders on the lashes. The formula is easy to wash off, unless you get the water-proof one. It is also a conditioning mascara! What that means is that the formula has Pro-Vitamin B5 in it that conditions and strengthens the lashes while adding more length. Multiple reviews say that it does take a lot of it to actually clump up because it’s almost like the wand refuses to let the mascara clump up on your lashes.
This is a mascara that many are looking for because of how it rarely smudges. It, of course, is not 100 percent smudge-proof because there just never will be a day where we have a mascara that doesn’t smudge at all, but this one is pretty close. Of course when it isn’t dry, it will smudge like any other mascara would, but it is very hard to actually smudge when it dries, even with water on it.
