Many Sierra Pacific students, along with parents, may be taking their biggest trip yet.
This big trip consists of cities such as Tokyo, Hiroshima, Osaka, and Yokohama with a nine day trip taking place in the summer of 2027. So far there will be 36 adventurers, half of the 36 are students, and the other half are parents. This trip is to provide students with knowledge of exploring and traveling. It will also be educational for those involved. This trip will also give these students the opportunity to experience what it is like out of town. Those behind the planning are teachers Justin Fukano, Ernie Vargas, Jordyn Montoya, Simon Mcgulpin, as well as the organizers in Japan.
As of now, any other student that wishes to participate in the trip can sign up, will be waitlisted due to the teachers reaching the goal of the amount of travelers that they plan to take. There are no requirements for those who wish to sign up for the trip. They will just have to make their payments on time, and will have to be trusted by the teachers that are going on the trip as well. There will be fundraisers that will be going into this trip. With the fundraisers, they are hoping to make the trip to Japan cheaper by using the fundraiser money.
With the planning that is behind this trip to Japan, the students, parents, and teachers will be very busy. There will be many different activities going on, and many different experiences for all of those involved. There is an itinerary that the teachers have been planning with the organizers in Japan. One of the many activities that they will be doing will include a Memorial Museum for a reflection on the events involving World War II.
Vargas included some insight on what those involved will be doing while in Japan.
“We will visit Hiroshima Peace Park and Memorial Museum for a solemn reflection on the events that ultimately ended World War II.” Vargas said.
The students will tour the cities with their peers and their families. Along with their teachers such as Montoya, Fukano, Mcgulpin, and Vargas. The students and parents will be busy with touring and adventures, and they will have free time as well to roam the cities of Japan. Altogether they will see what they have to offer as well as do different entertainment.
Fukano expressed that one of his reasons for bringing this trip on is because he wants to give students the opportunities he didn’t quite get.
“I want to give the opportunity to those students like me, who never got the chance to travel and see the world.” Fukano said.
With this trip, Fukano and the other teachers involved will give students the opportunity to experience what they may have been wanting to for their whole life. He wants to give the students a very memorable, unforgettable, and learningful experience. Fukano and the other teachers involved, are able to give the students and parents a very fulfilling experience with it also being educational due to the traveling and touring that will be involved with the trip.
