The Sierra Pacific boys soccer team fell to 0-4-4 on the season following a 4-1 loss to Santa Maria Dec. 6.
The Golden Bears have two games remaining before going on winter break. Sierra Pacific hosts Clovis North Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. then faces Hoover Dec. 19 before starting league play Jan. 8 at Central Valley Christian.
Girls soccer
Sierra Pacific improved to 3-2-1 on the season with a 4-1 victory over Sanger Dec. 6.
Tied 1-1 at the half, the Golden Bears netted three goals in the second half to pull away for the victory.
Senior Morgan Jones scored three goals for Sierra Pacific. Grace Kahn also scored while Anya Jackson had two assists. In goal, freshman London Holden had four saves.
Sierra Pacific is at Coalinga Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
Boys basketball
Sierra Pacific was defeated 47-40 by Madera South on Dec. 6 to lose its fourth straight game. Senior Aiden Lugo scored 18 points.
The Golden Bears are now 3-4 on the season.
Sierra Pacific opens play in the Panther Winter Jam tournament Dec. 10 against Foothill (0-5).
Girls basketball
The girls basketball team travels to Hawaii Dec. 9-14 to compete in a tournament.
Sierra Pacific (1-7 overall) opens play against Kalani Dec. 11. It then travels to compete in the Glendora Holiday tournament during winter break.
